Abstract

167,262. Stalhane, O., and Kring, O. O. May 3, 1920. Drawings to Specification. Soldering is effected by holding together the metal parts to be soldered whilst immersed in a molten metal or alloy bath above which is a layer of flux, and then allowing to cool after removal from the bath, the bath being kept molten by an alternating electric current passing through the flux or through the flux and metal. A partition may be provided in the bath, one side of which contains metal only, whereby the objects are withdrawn without coming into contact with the flux. The objects may be first warmed and the surfaces cleaned.
