Abstract
1531254 Impact pulverizers PENNSYLVANIA CRUSHER CORP 29 Aug 1975 [29 Aug 1974] 35813/75 Heading B2A [Also in Division F2] A centrifugal crushing machine has its impeller 72 mounted on a vibration-damped flexible shaft (Division F2) driven by a sheave 22 while its impact bowl 126 carrying vanes 135 is driven by a sheave 20. The drives may be in the same or opposite directions or only the sheave (22) may be driven (Fig. 8, not shown). Material to be crushed is fed down a tube 123 and thrown by the impeller 72 against the vanes 135. The crushed material is then separated and classified by cones 138 and 140 and directional vanes 137 for discharge through duct 122. A blower (not shown) supplies air below the bowl 126. Particle size is controlled by adjustable classification vanes 142 and a verticallyadjustable classification sleeve 146.
