1522069 Apparatus for cleaning a masking screen OFFICINA MECCANICA ETTORE NASSETTI SAS DI ROBERTO NASSETTI and C 6 Aug 1976 [1 Oct 1975 27 April 1976] 32871/76 Heading B2L [Also in Division B6] A device for cleaning a masking screen, e.g. in a ceramic tile decorating machine, has a motor M 1 and reducing gear R 1 driving an output shaft carrying a cam C, which controls through a first linkage the lifting of a screen-carrying frame T, the shaft also carrying a connecting rod controlling through a further linkage a support carrying cleaning means s for cleaning the screen, the further linkage serving to bring the means s from an inoperative position into an operative cleaning position where it cleans the raised screen. Cam C 1 tips lever l 1 about fulcrum p', whereby the frame T is tilted to the Fig. 4 position about fulcrum p by lever A 1 . The lever A 2 co-acts with linkage b 1 to pivot the brush carrying arrangement through 45‹ about axis a so that the brush rotated by motor M 3 via band P, cleans and contacts the screen. In an alternative embodiment, the dry brush is replaced by a wettable rotatable sponge which is wetted and squeegeed at the inoperative position.
