Abstract

1509178 Double glazing unit PERCY LANE Ltd 13 May 1975 [31 May 1974] 24207/74 Heading E1R A double glazing panel comprises two sheets 10 with a seal consisting of a thin - walled component 14 e.g. an aluminium extrusion 0.5 - 1mm thick, having end portions 18, a base portion 17 and side arms; and a second component 20 which may be an epoxy sealant applied as a liquid and cured in situ. The first component 14 may be an I - section extrusion (Fig. 5) which may be formed with rigid extensions 23a. Silica gel may be introduced at 22. The seal being flexible causes the panel to have good resistance to damage due to flexing and so to be suitable for use in a high - speed train.
