Abstract

158,648. Fedden, A. H. R., Butler, L. F. G., and Cosmos Engineering Co., Ltd. Nov. 6, 1919. Centrifugal-action lubricators.-Oil is supplied to. the crank webs, valve-operating cams, or other parts of an internal-combustion engine by means of a jet which is thrown centrifugally from a rotating nozzle 12, the rotating distributor forming a single unit with a pump. Once in each revolution the oil enters an opening 15 in a stationary pipe 14 leading to the desired point. A gear-wheel pump 21 supplies oil through a vertical pipe 10 to the nozzle 12, the parts being operated by a toothed wheel 16 driven from the engine.
