Abstract

158,158. Ginger, H. Feb. 27, 1920. No Patent granted (Sealing fee not paid). Pivoting - adjustments for the hinged or jointed stays of perambulator hoods and for folding chairs and tables and the lids of gramophone a n d other boxes. An attachment device comprising a channel-shaped member 1 is clamped over the joint between the stay arms 9, 13, a slotted pivoted arm 4 being secured to the plate 1 on the pin 3 by a finger-nut 6 so as to hold the pin 5 in engagement with corresponding slots 2 in the face-plates and thereby provide an adjustable stop-piece limiting the movement of the arm 13. In a modification, the channelled attachment device has a single face-plate 1 only, with the notches 2 formed on the edge of an arcshaped slot, the joint pin of the stay members projecting through the plate 1 and serving as a support for the arm 4 and clamping-nut 6.
