Abstract

1439739 Cushions ETABS BERTRAND FAURE 30 Oct 1974 [30 Oct 1973] 47044/74 Heading A4M [Also in Division B5] An insert 2 provided with devices 3 for mounting the moulded article to a backing is chosen to be elastically deformable so as to provide a seal against moulding material entering the locating apertures 12 for the devices 3 and to accommodate slight mismatch between the positions of the devices 3 and the apertures 12. The insert is also permeable so that moulding material 1 may penetrate thereinto to form a denser zone 5. The insert may comprise open-cell foamed material which may additionally be perforated to increase the penetration of the moulding material. The latter may be formed by casting and may be a foam material. Jute cloth may be provided at the interface between moulding material and insert. Padding for seats and head-rests may be produced.
