Abstract

1436699 Rotary seals J F BUCKINGHAM Ltd 11 June 1973 [11 March 1972] 11474/72 Heading F2B A rotary seal arrangement for the suction pipe of a gulley cleaning machine, comprises a flexible, e.g. rubber or plastics, sleeve 13 bearing a sealing ring 14 for engaging a pipe section 8. The ring 14 is supported by a base ring 15, hose clips 16 retaining the ring 15 in the sleeve 13 and the sleeve 13 on a further sleeve 12 which is secured to a mounting member 4 attached to the top of a tank 3 of the machine. A pipe bend 7 is bolted to a plate 6 bearing the pipe section 8, the plate 6 being supported on a plate 5 of the tank 3 by a ball bearing arrangement.
