Abstract

1433004 Cabinets GROVEWOOD PRODUCTS Ltd 11 Nov 1974 [10 Aug 1973] 37980/73 Heading A4B A kitchen cupboard which is adapted for wall mounting includes a door 15 and an article support panel 17 inter-connected by a cord or chain 19 passed over pulleys 20 for simultaneous displacement in opposite directions, the door 15 being guided at its sides for vertical sliding to be opened by upward displacement with consequential lowering of the support panel 17 out of the open bottom of the cupboard. The panel 17 may carry adjustably positioned brackets 23 supporting shelves 21, the lowermost of which may effectively form the bottom of the cupboard body in the closed condition. The opening may be effected manually but as shown the operating mechanism may comprise a reversible motor 24 with a threaded drive-shaft 25 engaged with a nut 26 secured to the support panel 17. The motor is operated by a three position switch which is spring-biased to a central position in which the motor is inoperative. Limit switches cut off the motor supply in the end positions of the door 15 and panel 17.
