Abstract

142,536. Plant, E. A. Feb. 1, 1919. Teeth, artificial. - The counter-plate A of a fixed or detachable tooth is secured to the denture by screw pins C which pass through holes B which are countersunk or not according as the pins are inserted from the labial or lingual sides. Smaller holes in the plate receive pins by which the tooth is secured to the plate. As shown in Fig. 3, a screw pin F may pass through a tapped hole in the backing-plate B and engages a screw split socket E baked in the tooth D. Other constructions of sockets are shown which have flaring mouths filled in with vulcanite. The pin may be screw-threaded along its full length or partly.
