Abstract

1424846 Electronic timepieces- SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 7 Dec 1973 [25 Dec 1972] 56798/73 Heading G3T An electronic timepiece with a liquid crystal digital display 12 has a light source 15 for illumination of the time display upon closure of switches 16, 17 when it is desired to consult the time. With switch 16 open, a switching circuit 14 enables the time indication to be corrected upon closure of any one or more of switches 17, 18, 19 which causes a respective time correcting signal to be applied to a timing circuit 11. The time cannot therefore be corrected when the light source 15 is energized and vice versa. The liquid crystal display may be of the reflecting type or the permeation type. The power source 13 may be a battery.
