Abstract

1420898 Die casting machines ITALPRESSE SpA 28 March 1974 [13 April 1973] 13819/74 Heading B3F [Also in Divisions B8 and F4] A pressure die casting machine I is provided with a device for supplying molten metal thereto, the said device comprising a carriage 14 movable along horizontal guides 13, two vertical rods 15 and 22 carried by the carriage and axially movable one with respect to the other and with respect to the carriage, and a ladle 31 hinged on the lower ends of the rods so as to be tiltable about a horizontal axis. The rod 15 is slidable within a fixed sleeve 16 and may be lowered and raised, together with the rod 22, by means of a rack and pinion drive to move the ladle 31 into and out of the molten metal contained within a furnace 6. The rod 22 is located within the rod 15 and is movable axially relative thereto by a motor 28 mounted on the rod 15 to tilt the ladle 31.
