Abstract

1410995 Bed-pan inserts VERNON & CO (PULP PRODUCTS) Ltd 12 Sept 1973 [5 Oct 1972] 45863/72 Heading A4N A disposable insert for a bed-pan or commode, comprises a seat portion 10, an aperture 12 within said seat portion forming an opening into a receptacle portion 13, said seat portion being formed at each side towards its rear with a concavity 14 and at its rear with a central depression 15 merging smoothly with said concavities. The aperture 12 of the seat portion is elongated from front to rear and is waisted at 16, and said receptacle portion is correspondingly shaped in plan, having a small downward taper. The front of said seat portion is higher than the rear thus forming a splash barrier (17) Fig. 3 (not shown). The seat portion 10 has a downturned peripheral edge (11). The insert may be moulded from cellulose pulp.
