Abstract

1408678 Spray-dried detergent composition PROCTER & GAMBLE CO 17 April 1973 [17 April 1972] 18466/73 Heading C5D Crisp, free-flowing heavy-duty detergent granules are produced by forming an aqueous slurry containing (A) 10% to 20% wt. of a water-soluble organic detergent selected from anionic, nonionic, zwitterionic and ampholytic detergents, (B) 15 to 35% wt. of sodium carbonate and (C) 0À7% to 15% wt. of a watersoluble anti-caking agent which is sodium acetate, sodium citrate or potassium carbonate, and spray-drying the slurry. The slurry may contain 2-17% wt. of an alkali metal silicate having an SiO 2 : Na 2 O ratio of 3À6 : 1 to 2 : 1. Sodium sulphate and sodium toluene sulphonate may also be present.
