Abstract
1408123 Photographic heat-developable materials FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 9 Jan 1974 [16 Jan 1973] 01094/74 Heading G2C [Also in Division C2] A heat-developable photographic material comprises on a support (1) cystals of a silver carboxylate prepared by mixing an aqueous solution of an alkali-soluble silver complex with an aqueous emulsion of a carboxylic acid dissolved in an organic solvent which dissolves the acid but not the silver carboxylate or nitrate and is sparingly soluble in water formed, by the action of ultrasonic radiation (see Div C2), (2) a catalytic amount of photo-sensitive silver halide or a compound which can form a photo-sensitive silver halide after reaction with silver carboxylate, (3) a reducing agent to form silver images when heated with sensitized silver halide and (4) a binder. Optional additives may be on a more blackening agents, development accelerators, inorganic hydroxides, reducing agents a spectral sensitizing dyes. Examples describe the use of dispersions of silver benerate and laurate admixed with zinc bromide, zinc iodide and mercuric bromide solutions in methanol, benzoxazolilidene-thiohyclantoin in acetone, 2, 2'- methylenebis(6-t-butyl-4methylphenol) in methoxymethanol solution and phthaladinone in methoxymethanol solution and with ammonium and mercuric biomide in methanol, tetrachlorotetrabromofluoresceine acid dye in methanol and phthaladinone and p-phenylphenol in ethoxymethanol solution respectively, and applied to a polyethylene terephthalate film support to be used as a heat-developable photographic material.
