Abstract

1404363 Animal feeding appliance E J C PEARCE 25 April 1973 [9 May 1972] 21604/ 72 Heading A1M A hopper type feed container 1 for birds or small animals has an inverted truncated pyramidal base 2 with an outlet 3 through which feed is restrictedly released by an adjustable plate 13, on to a table 17 fixed to a rod 14 which is pivotally suspended from plate 13 and terminates in a pecking head 16. When the bird pecks at head 16, rod 14 swings like a pendulum, allowing feed to fall from table 17 to the ground, and on its return to rest, further feed is supplied through outlet 3.
