Abstract

1498661 Pads, mattresses R DYSON 29 April 1976 [6 Feb 1975] 5063/75 Heading A4M A pad for seating purposes comprises a structure of three plastic sheets 1, 2, 3 welded together to form a closed envelope and produce upper and lower rows of compartments. The compartments of each row communicate with each other and, whilst the upper compartments are filled with gel 9 or other flowable filler such as a liquid, the lower compartments each accommodate a foamed plastics former 10 and are inflated in use by a pump 6 housed in an outer compartment. The structure is backed by a block 11 of foamed plastics.
