1493237 Diuretic compositions HENNING BERLIN GmbH 11 May 1976 [10 Dec 1975] 19223/76 Heading A5B A pharmaceutical preparation for treating hyperuricacidemia comprises an oral dosage unit form containing 60 to 120 mgs. allopurinol (4 - hydroxy - pyrazolo - (3, 4 - d) - pyrimidine), 10 to 30 mgs. benzbromarone ((2 - ethyl - benzofuran - 3 - yl) - (3, 5 - dibromo - 4 - hydroxy - phenyl ketone) and pharmaceutically acceptable excipients. The active ingredients are said to show a synergistic effect on each other regarding the urinary excretion of uric acid.
