Abstract

1491767 Treating seeds in a seed drill AMAZONEN-WERKE H DREYER 8 Aug 1975 [8 Aug 1974] 33271/75 Heading AID A rotatable roller 17 mounted in a container 13 discharges treating agent through openings 14 into seeds in a storage container, which seeds subsequently pass through openings 3 to drill mechanisms having seed metering wheels 5, the shaft 20 of the roller 17 and a rotatable stirring shaft 7 in container 1 extending normal to the operative direction of travel of the seed drill. The roller 17 is provided with V-shaped protrusions 18, 18' and shaft 7 has stirring elements 8. The roller shaft 20 is positively driven by the drill mechanism via a chain and sproket arrangement 21, 23, 24. The roller 17, container 13 and sproket 21 are detachably secured to the container 1.
