1486846 Self-processing cameras FUJI PHOTO FILM CO Ltd 9 Oct 1975 [12 Oct 1974] 41517/75 Heading G2A In a camera for self-processing film units the pressure members through which the film unit passes during processing are arranged skew to each other. As shown, the exposed film unit, which carries at its forward end a pod of processing solution, is passed between rollers 3 and 4, the pod thus being ruptured and the processing solution spread between the two sheets forming the film unit. The rollers are skewed with respect to each other, and as seen in Fig. 2 both are inclined to the direction of travel A of the film unit, although one of them may be normal to this direction. The rollers are spring-urged towards each other. One or both rollers may be replaced by fixed bars. The arrangement is intended to improve the evenness of distribution of the processing solution between the sheets, and experimental results are given in which the distance between the rollers and the angle of crossing are varied.
