Abstract
1485679 Overvoltage protection circuit PHILIPS ELECTRONIC & ASSOCIATED INDUSTRIES Ltd 3 Dec 1975 49632/75 Heading H2K Overvoltage protection is provided by a glow switch 11 connected in series with a heating resistor 12 between the lines 8, 9 to be protected, the heating resistor being thermally coupled to a fusible link 3 in the current path of one of the lines. When used to protect the HT supply of a television receiver, the fusible link 3 may be located on either the A.C. or D.C. side of the rectifier 5.
