Abstract

1473524 Fluid dispensers; hydraulic accumulators PLANT INDUSTRIES Inc 6 Aug 1974 34483/74 Headings F1D and F1R In a fluid dispenser 2 or a pressure accumulator (not shown), the fluid is stored and expelled under pressure by means of two resilient bladders 82, 86, the inner bladder 82 being formed from a material which is impermeable to the fluid, and the outer bladder 86 being formed from a material which has sufficient elasticity to expel substantially all the fluid from the inner bladder. The bladders nestle one within the other both when empty and when filled, and a friction-reducing material may be provided between the bladders. The inner bladder is preferably a butyl-type elastomer and the outer bladder a latex-type elastomer. In the dispenser 2 shown in Fig. 1 a mandrel 62 having fluidconducting channels 70 is provided to initially stress the bladders. The mandrel may be cruciform or oval in cross-section.
