Abstract
1469184 Electronic component assemblies ERNST ROEDERSTEIN SPEZIALFABRIK FUR KONDENSATOREN GmbH 5 April 1974 [17 April 1973] 15183/74 Heading H1R A support for electronic components comprises a block member in an open casing 3 in whose exposed face 5 there are shaped recesses 7 accommodating components, e.g. a transistor 9 and capacitor 11. The exposed faces of the components have connecting wires 13, 15 and spaced pins 17 extend from member 1 at locations defined by a predetermined matrix, together with extensions of wires 15. The connecting wires of components 9, 11 are interconnected together with the pins 17 at solder points 19, and additional components are interconnected between the wires and pins, e.g. a resistor 21. For protection the walls of the casing extend beyond the face of member 1 and the open side is sealed with epoxy resin 23 retaining member 1 and encapsulating the components. Member 1 may be moulded, e.g. by injection pressing or casting from plastics material or from elastomer, e.g. rubber or silicone resin.
