Abstract
In the method, cylinders (1a) are arranged with their circumferential surfaces one against another. The fibres (3) to be connected are inserted individually from one direction in each case into the interspaces formed between the cylinders, and fastened therein, e.g. by encapsulation. Thereafter, the end faces of the cylinders and of the fibres can be ground flat, so that it is possible for two identical endpieces, e.g. in a guide piece (6), to be connected to one another in a manner precisely aligned with respect to one another. The method permits cost-effective production of precisely matching endpieces. <IMAGE>
