Abstract

1466703 Conveying garments for storage and display J F BOSIO and C SPINDLER 7 Feb 1974 [14 June 1973] 05690/74 Heading B8A [Also in Division G5] Rails 3 for supporting rods 2, on which garments are hooked for the purpose of storage and display, are connected at each end to respective conveyer chains 12. Each connection comprises a slotted carrier 7 adapted to receive a suitably shaped end 6 of the associated rail-end. The carrier 7 is secured to the chain by a rod 9 and is formed with a seat for the outer member of a bearing member 10. So as to enable the suspended garments to pass from an upward to a downward run, and vice-versa, at the top of the device, there is no cross-shaft connecting the upper sprockets of the two chains. The lower sprockets are driven by a motor having a control 21. There is an auxiliary hand drive wheel 23.
