Abstract

1466661 Mixing in proportions E H BENTALL & CO Ltd 5 March 1974 [19 March 1973] 13093/73 Heading B1C [Also in Division B8] Feeding apparatus for feeding granular or powdered materials in predetermined proportions comprises two or more devices, each device comprising a screw 2 surrounded by a housing 12 having in its top surface an inlet opening 14, to receive material from a bin or hopper 16 positioned thereabove, and provided with a slide plate 18 which can be positioned either to close the opening 14 or cut off any desired area thereof. A scale (24), Fig. 2 (not shown) is positioned alongside the slide plate 18 to allow calibration of the device. The screw 2 is rotated through gears 6, 8, 10 by a motor 4, all the motors 4 being controlled by a single variable speed controller.
