Abstract

146,526. Brassill, F. A. March 8, 1918, [Convention date]. Guards.-A combined guard and water-feeding device for a grinding-machine comprises a shelllike structure 13 enclosing the greater part of a grinding-wheel 10 and having a closing-plate 15 on one side, the peripheral part of the guard having therein a channel 12, connected at 18 to a water supply. An adjustable spout 21 directs water emerging from the channel on to the grinding-wheel 10. A cock 19 in a seating 23 regulates the flow of water. The guard is mounted on the machine by means of a hub formed on the guard.
