Abstract

1461094 Air conditioning DRAGERWERK AG 17 May 1974 [17 May 1973] 22245/74 Addition to 1382820 Heading F4V [Also in Division B1] A pleated rectangular filter sheet 32 (or sheets) is irradiated by an ultra-violet lamp 4 to kill bacteria trapped thereon, the lamp 4 being elongate and arranged at right angles to the pleat lines and being longer than the dimension of the filter sheet parallel to it. Fig. 1 shows four pleated sheets arranged in parallel across an opening in a housing 34. The sheets arranged in pairs converge towards the outlet end and are sealed to impervious plates 33. The lamps 4 are held in channels 41 and are not attached to the filter housing.
