Abstract
1451347 Valves SOC ITALIANA TECNOMECCANIA "LA PRECISA" DI DR P & G DE STEFANI SAS 31 Oct 1973 [29 Dec 1972] 50543/73 Heading F2V A safety valve in which the closure member 2 is held open by an electromagnet 5 powered by a thermopile 6 is provided with push-button control designed to indicate, by way of its position, the mode of the electromagnet and hence the position of the closure member. As shown in Fig. 1, the button 10 is fully extended when the valve is closed. When the button is depressed, the balls 16 in slots 15 of the shank 11 connected to the button are forced against the shoulder 20 by the spring-biased member 13 and hence the button is retained in a lower position when the valve is open. Upon de-energization of the electromagnet, the stem 3 of the closure member forces the member 13 upwards to release the balls from the shoulder and the button returns to its original position.
