Abstract
1451081 Elevating apparatus BRODERNA BRANNSTROMS MEKANISKA VERKSTAD AB 28 Sept 1973 [28 Sept 1972] 45539/73 Heading B8L A telescopic assembly for working at heights comprises a working platform 2 which is pivotally attached by arms 3 (only one shown) to the upper section 19 of a telescopic post 1, to whose lower section 16 a coupling device 10 is attached for releasably connecting the assembly to a vehicle such as the back loader 9 shown, the coupling device 10 comprising a frame 11 provided with towing members 12 for engaging with a coupling on the rear of the back loader 9, the axis 13 of the frame 11 being in alignment with the central axis of a ground-engaging foot member 8 connected by a universal coupling to a support leg 7 of the post 1. Between the frame 11 and the post 1 hydraulic cylinders (15) are provided by means of which the post 1 is rotatable about the axis 13, Fig. 2 (not shown). An hydraulic ram 21 is operable to extend a first intermediate post section 17 from the lower section 16, while a second intermediate section 18 and the upper section 19 are each extended, on extension of the first intermediate section 17, by means of chains (28, 41) and on retraction of the section 17, the sections 18, 19 are retracted by means of chains (47, 48), Figs. 3a, 3b (not shown). Movement of platform 2 relative to the post upper section 19 is effected by means of an hydraulic ram 6.
