Abstract
1338374 Drying by circulation of hot gas PVH ENG Ltd 14 May 1971 [24 March 1970] 14193/70 Heading F4G The direction of rotation of a main fan K situated between two drying chambers may be reversed so to blow hot gas either into the upper drying zones P for return by way of the lower zones T or into the lower zones T for return by way of the upper zones P. Clayware goods to be dried may be conveyed through the drying chamber, or disposed at S and/or S<SP>1</SP>. Some of the hot gas is drawn via ducts at M (or at M<SP>1</SP>) into exhaust ducts 0 by exhaust fans (not shown). Hot gases, e.g. air, are introduced from gas or oil fired burners or heaters L. A motor D drives (via a belt-and-pulley E) a spindle G carrying the main fan K and a cooling fan F which circulates cooling air around the bearing J of the spindle G.
