Abstract

1338192 Syringe needle A COSTA 1 Feb 1972 [30 Nov 1971] 4764/72 Heading A5R An injection needle for injection syringes comprises a cannula 1 and a securing element 4 for attachment to a syringe, formed in one piece from a hard synthetic plastics material, the securing element tapering internally frustoconically towards the cannula and having an external reinforcing flange or bead 3. The cannula may be coated with a metal (chromium or nickel) by vacuum vapour deposition. The plastics material may be nylon, PTFE, alkylbenzol-sulphonate or polypropylene.
