Abstract

1335040 Strips B J PANKER 23 Dec 1970 [23 Dec 1969] 61157/70 Heading A4X [Also in Division D1] A base strip 1 for supporting pile yarns for a carpet comprises a row of apertures 3 spaced from one edge of the strip and connected to that edge by slits 4. The slits 4 may communicate with notches 2 in the edges of the strip and a number of the strips may be fastened together with co-operating studs 6 and holes 8 on opposite sides of the strips, or by zip fasteners or glueing or welding. Projections 12 may be provided on the undersides of the strips to hold the pile yarns in place.
