Abstract
1334844 Valves REYROLLE PARSONS Ltd 25 Nov 1970 [27 Aug 1969] 42596/69 Heading F2V A gas sampling valve for a nuclear reactor has a selector 32 which is rotated stepwise to connect each of a ring of ports 36 in turn to a central outlet port 37. The selector is loosely received in a rotor 27, 29 rotatably supported by carbon bearings 28, and includes radial pins 30 spaced at the same angular pitch as ports 36. The stepwise rotation is effected by reciprocation of a member 24 having opposed teeth 25, 26 which co-operate with pins 30 to index the selector 32 from one port 36 to the next during cycle of movement of member 24. The latter is reciprocated by successively pressurizing and evacuating bellows 18. The selector 32 is suitably of carbon or ceramic material.
