1330753 Substituted chlorinated phenols COCKER CHEMICAL CO Ltd 10 March 1972 [11 March 1971] 6619/71 Heading C2C [Also in Division A5] A mixture of ortho-benzyl-para-chlorophenol, para - benzyl - ortho - chlorophenol and orthobenzyl-ortho-chlorophenol is obtained either by chlorinating phenol with chlorine or sulphuryl chloride and benzylating the resulting chlorophenols, or by benzylating phenol with benzyl chloride and then chlorinating with chloride or sulphuryl chloride.
