Abstract

1330261 Watches SUWA SEIKOSHA KK 28 April 1971 [1 June 1970] 11885/71 Heading G3T A watch for use in different time zones comprises a first hour wheel 4 carrying an hour hand 3 and a projection 9 which engages in one of a plurality of apertures 11 in a second hour wheel 10 whereby the wheels 4, 10 normally rotate together as the wheel 10 is driven by a minute wheel pinion 8. A time difference may be corrected by rotation of a pinion 7 via a setting stem, not shown, to rotate the wheel 4, thus bringing the projection 9 into engagement with successive apertures 11. The engagement of the wheels 4, 10 is ensured by axial pressure from a spring 6. In the arrangement shown, there are twelve apertures 11 so that a correction of discrete hours only is possible, a minute cannon 2 and hand 1 being unaffected. An arrangement is envisaged, however, in which setting by quarter hours is possible.
