Abstract
1328299 Screened photographic colour copy simulating a multi-colour print CIBA-GEIGY A G 21 July 1971 [24 July 1970] 34284/71 Heading G2C A screened (half-tone) photographic colour copy simulating a multi-colour print is produced by exposing a light-sensitive positive-working colour photographic material successively to colour-filtered light through screened positive colour component separation transparencies of an original which correspond to the colours red, blue and green and through, in each exposure, a black and white positive transparency of the original, each exposure of the lightsensitive material being through a filter which corresponds in colour to the red, green or blue light used to produce the screened positive colour component separation transparency used in the exposure, the photographic material after completion of the successive exposures being processed to provide a screened positive directviewing colour copy of the original containing a colour image in magenta, cyan and yellow, the process being characterized in that during at least part of at least one of the exposures the photo-sensitive material is exposed as well to light through at least one of the other screened positive separation component transparencies. The material may be additionally exposed to white light through the black and white positive transparency alone. The photographic material may be a silver dye-bleach material.
