Abstract

1326735 Lawnmowers WEBB LAWNMOWERS Ltd 21 Sept 1970 [25 Sept 1969] 47203/69 Heading A1F [Also in Division B7] A lawnmower as described in Specification 1,003,733 has a handlebar 26 which is adjustable laterally with respect to the longitudinal centre-line of the mower to provide off-set mowing near hedges and walls, for example. The support tubes 20 are welded to a split tube 21 having flanges 27 through which passes a bolt 28 which is rigidly attached to the lower flange. A nut 29 operated by lever 30 serves to tighten the flanges to grip the handlebar when set in the desired lateral position. Fore- and-aft movement (broken lines, Fig. 1) is still available. The adjustable steering arrangement is applicable also to hand propelled mowers and to rotary mowers having cutters rotating about a vertical axis.
