1320298 Peptide SANDOZ Ltd 22 May 1970 [3 June 1969 20 June 1969 (4) 23 June 1969 (3) 26 June 1969 30 June 1969 9 Sept 1969] 53463/72 Divided out of 1314051 Heading C2C The novel peptide compound I H - cys - ser - asn - leu - ser - thr - cys - val - leugly - lys - leu - ser - glu - glu - leu - his - lys - leuglu - thr - tyr - pro - arg - thr - asn - thr - glyser-gly-thr-pro-NH 2 is prepared by methods known per se. In the example it is prepared from the compound II BOC - cys - ser - asn - leu - ser - thr - cys - valleu - gly - lys - (BOC) - leu - ser - glu - glu(OTB)- leu - his - lys(BOC) - leu - glu - thr - tyr - proarg-thr-asn-thr-gly-ser-gly-thr-pro-NH 2 by treatment with CF 3 COOH. The starting material and its preparation are described in Specification 1,314,051. Pharmaceutical compositions comprise the peptide I and a suitable carrier and are used in lowering the calcium content of blood plasma.
