Abstract
1317104 Metal powder strip FORDATH Ltd 31 Jan 1972 [29 Jan 1971] 3544/71 Heading C7D Steel strip is formed from a powder mixture of iron ore and a binder including a major proportion of molasses which is rolled into strip, reduced in a furnace and then rolled. The binder preferably forms 3 per cent by weight of the iron ore and comprises sugar beet molasses mixed with minor proportions of dextrin, linseed or castor oil, ethylene glycol mono stearic acid, phenol formaldehyde or a polyether. The strip is formed by rolling the powder mixture in heated rolls.
