Abstract

1311955 Thermal storage containers for beverages J W RYAN and W H SHAPERO 4 Aug 1970 37556/70 Heading F4U The temperature of a beverage placed in a container 10 is controlled by the choice of a thermal storage material 18 contained between the spaced walls 14, 16 of a capsule 12 positioned within but spaced from an outer shell 20 to which it is secured by a flexible adhesive. At least the inner wall 14 is of metal, e.g. aluminium or steel and the space between the capsule and shell contains an insulation layer of felt or plastics foam. Examples of thermal storage material are given, e.g. beeswax, a hydrated salt and paraffin, and the material additionally may include a heat conducting material, e.g. aluminium powder flakes at specified rates and mesh sizes.
