Abstract

1310508 Laminated products A E SUTTON Ltd 3 June 1970 [3 June 1969] 27921/69 Heading B5N [Also in Division B8] Means for packaging comprises one or more pieces of easily deformable resilient expanded plastics material, one side of which is attached to one or more sheets of relatively rigid backing material which can be folded or otherwise assembled to form a package, a side of the material remote from the backing material having projections and indentations which, in use of the material, interengage to fit closely about an article to be packaged. As shown, a sheet of profiled foamed polymeric material 1 is attached to a sheet of cardboard 2 having a base 3, sides 4-7 and a top 8 together with flaps 9, 10 attached to sides 4, 5 and flaps 11, 12 attached to sides 6, 7. The article to be packaged is placed on the profiled surface and the cardboard is folded over, the sides 6, 7 are folded up and the flaps are secured by adhesive tape.
