Abstract
1308798 Hair dyeing CIBA-GEIGY AG 10 Dec 1970 [16 Dec 1969] 58713/70 Heading D1B Human hair is dyed with an aqueous preparation which contains a) 0.5 to 40% relative to the total weight of the preparation, of a dyestuff suitable for dyeing keratinous material, e.g. acid, disperse, reactive and metal complex dyes, b) 0.5 to 40% relative to the total weight of the composition of a coacervating agent and c) 0.2 to 5% relative to the total weight of the composition of a thickener. The hair is dyed at 15 to 45‹C for about 5 to 60 minutes and have good wash fastners. The hair may be living or non-living human hair. The coacervating agents may be the products of condensation of C 8 to C 18 fatty acids with hydroxyalkylamides followed by condensation with ethylene oxide.
