Abstract
1399129 Dewatering sludges GAF CORP 26 Sept 1972 [18 Oct 1971] 44420/72 Heading C1C [Also in Divisions C3 and D2] Novel terpolymers of acrylamide, N-dimethylamino-methyl acrylamide, and a third ethylenically unsaturated monomer of limited solubility in water, are used as flocculants in water treatment, especially to facilitate easy filtering of aqueous suspensions. In an example, a terpolymer of acrylamide, N-dimethylamino-methyl acrylamide and methyl methacrylate is used to ease the filtration of an aqueous sludge.
