Abstract

1398138 Resilient mountings A REJNA SPA 24 Oct 1972 [11 Nov 1971] 48854/72 Heading A4U [Also in Division F2] A seat for an industrial motor vehicle comprises a coupling 20 consisting of a polygonal component 19 engaging resilient bodies 23 held in engaging position by channel members 22 which are movable relative to one another to adjust the reaction of the bodies 23 to relative turning movement between the the component 19 and the members 22. The seat includes a normally padded member 1 supported on pivoted arms 9, 17, the arms 17 non-rotatably engaging the ends of the component 19. A threaded rod 27 having a handwheel 28 and engaging in a threaded hole 26 engages one of the members 22 for moving it towards the other. The members 22 are separated by the resilience of the bodies 23. The arms 17, may engage the ends of the component 19 through mating serrated surfaces, urged into engagement against the resilience of the arms by a cam lever, Fig. 4 (not shown), whereby by releasing the lever and so disengaging the serrated surfaces the height of the seat can be adjusted and then the lever can be re-engaged to retain the seat in the adjusted position.
