Abstract

1393644 Explosive charges NITRO NOBEL AB 22 March 1973 [27 March 1972] 13923/73 Heading F3A An explosive charge comprises a closed tube 7 filled with explosive and arranged eccentrically with respect to a larger diameter tube 1 also filled with explosive. This arrangement enables the wires 11 and 12 of a detonator 10 to extend freely through a space formed between the tube 7 and the wall of a drill hole in which the charge is inserted. The two tubes are held end-to-end by sleeves 4 and 6 extending from a disc 5, or, in a modification (Fig. 4, not shown) the tubes are integrally formed as a unitary member. Further tubes of explosive having a diameter corresponding to the tube 7 may be connected thereto by means of sleeves (14), Fig. 2, not shown, provided with tongues (15) at one end.
