Abstract

1390190 Mixing apparatus E WISZ 26 June 1972 [1 July 1971] 30918/71 Heading B1C [Also in Division F2] A mixer and reactor has a rotor E, 15, 17 and a stator A having respectively blades G and projections J which interdigitate, the rotor being given by a drive C (see Figs. 2-4, not shown, and Division F2) a combined rotary and reciprocating motion such that the locus of any point on it is a cycloidal curve; whereby each blade will as shown in Fig. 5 pass between and wipe adjacent stator projections in one sense of linear motion of the rotor, and pass between rows of projections in the other. A heat exchange fluid may be passed through the hollow rotor and the stator jackets 19, 20.
