Abstract
1388700 Copper-base alloys SIEMENS AG 14 Nov 1972 [21 Jan 1972] 52491/72 Heading C7A [Also in Division H 1] A vacuum switch has at least one of its contacts consisting of a porous body which is resistant to burning, the pore volume being filled with an alloy of a metal of high conductivity as the main component, a metal which reduces welding as a secondary component and aluminium, in an amount of up to 1 wt. per cent. The porous body may consist of sintered tungsten and alloy may be copper, 0À3-1 wt. per cent of bismuth and 0À2- 0À4 wt. per cent of aluminium, and may include up to 1 wt. per cent of tin. Alternately tellurium may be used instead of the bismuth. The weld reducing component may be provided only in the stationary contact.
