Planting-tools. - A dibble for planting purposes, or for use as a toy, comprises a cutting-cylinder a, a foot-rest a<3>, a forkshaped bracket b, a perforated soil-ejecting disk h, and a shaft f and foot-plate k for operating the disk h. The cylinder a is sharpened at the lower end and closed at the upper end, the top being formed into a flange a<2> which is extended to form the foot-rest a<3>. An angleplate p forms a stop for the operator's foot. The bracket b carries a split socket c for the haft or handle d. The shaft f projects through a stuffing-box g and is connected to the foot-plate k by a nut or a pin m. The plate k is recessed at o to engage the bracket b.
