Abstract
1369348 Bundling straps LEGRAND SA 9 Nov 1972 51848/72 Heading E2B In a ring clamp comprising a flexible strap 10 and a locking head 15 having a passage 16 adapted to receive the strap after the latter has been formed into a loop, the locking head has at least one locking tongue 20 adapted to be bent manually at will between an inoperative position in which it allows free movement of the strap in the passage and a gripping position in which it forms a strap-gripping means within the passage. As shown, the strap has a central, longitudinal rib of semi-circular cross-section, but the rib could be of rectangular or triangular section, and the locking plate 15 includes a passage 16 substantially of a cross-section equal to the combined section of two ends E 1 E 2 of the strap and two locking tongues 20 of triangular profile. After the ends of the strap have been passed through the passage the tongues are bent into the plane of the locking plate. In modifications, (a) the strap, on one face thereof, has two generally triangular section ribs 25, 25', Figs. 7 and 8B, (b) the passage in the locking head has projections which extend between the ribs 25', 25', and (c) the locking head 35, Fig. 10, is integral with the strap 10 and has moulded therein a metal locking device 36.
